Frequently asked questions about summer sheds (Isothermals)

What is the operation of a thermal cover for above ground pools?

In addition to protecting against dust and other elements that may dirty the pool water, a thermal cover has the ability to generate a greenhouse effect. Solar radiation passes through the cover and heats the pool water, while the air bubbles in the cover act as insulation, preventing heat loss during the night. This allows the water to maintain a higher temperature and prevents evaporation, thereby contributing to a gradual increase in water temperature with each solar cycle.

Can I use a thermal cover in winter?

No, these covers are used in summer to increase the water temperature. But during winter, we recommend using winter covers (for protection).

How long does a pool cover last?

These covers for above ground pools, with proper use and care, should last at least 4 or 5 seasons.
